1. Agreement to terms
Speak Saigon (the “Service”) is operated by Munro Innovations (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Speak Saigon is an online tool for learning Southern Vietnamese through lessons, exercises, spaced-repetition review, AI conversation practice, stories, and games. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the laws that apply to you.
4. Accounts
You must provide an accurate email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
5. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
Some content is free; full access requires a paid subscription (“Pro”). Payments are processed by Stripe; by subscribing you also agree to Stripe’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing page or the Stripe customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: breaking the law; infringing others’ rights; attempting to access accounts or systems you’re not authorized to; scraping, reverse-engineering, or overloading the Service; or reselling access without our permission.
7. Intellectual property
The Service and its content (course materials, software, design) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own language learning. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our content except as allowed by law.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Stripe (payments) and AI providers used to generate and check exercises and conversation practice. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It is an educational aid and we do not guarantee any particular learning outcome or fluency. AI-generated content and pronunciation feedback may contain errors and should not be relied on as authoritative.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or to protect the Service.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. If changes are material we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-app). Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and the courts located in Calgary, Alberta will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable consumer law gives you other rights.
